Q: How to remove eucalyptus oil from a painted wall?
I use a humidifier with eucalyptus oil in it. Water from the steam has left streak marks down the painted walls. I have tried products like sugar soap which have not helped at all. Any ideas on how to remove this (it's been there for a while now). Thanks.
A: Oh oh. Eucalyptus oil is an excellent cleaner and degreaser .... in a dab it on and wash it straight off sense. The streak marks are likely from the oil stripping the colour out of the paint rather than the oil leaving a residue. I'd use just a damp nylon scrubber and hope that maybe the colour evens out - as it's a cleaner, the streaks are probably the cleanest parts of the wall. If it's been there a while I'd say you'll have to repaint to fix the problem.
Q: Is the dried decorative Eucalyptus posionous to cats?
I just bought some of that great smelling dried decorative eucalyptus and I am afraid to put in the floor vase because of the cat. I know most all plants are bad for cats and they are soooo smart and still bite on them! Let me know, thanks!
A: Yes, eucalyptus is on the list as toxic to cats

Q: Will eucalyptus trees grow back if all their leaves are gone?
The people who live on the left behind me have these two huge eucalyptus trees and these people came and chopped them down so only the trunk is there. I liked them so much so I wanted to know if they would grow back?
A: Yes. If at least they left the stump there, it shall surely grow back.
Q: How can I get rid of spiders in my family room downstairs? An ant trap for spiders? Natural option Eucalyptus?
Our house was vacant for 3 years and we suffered some water damage to our cedar siding. Over the next six months we'll make necessary repairs but in the interim we need to find a solution for eliminating the spiders we currently have in our basement and downstairs family room. I have children at home so a safe and natural way like using plants spiders don't like (do spiders avoid Eucalyptus or or other plants?) Or if there is a ant trap like insecticide for spiders this would be great. Thanks for the suggestions!
A: I'm afraid you'll just have to kill them all one by one...And try to find the eggs and put them in a salad. People wont know what they're eating.
Q: Eucalyptus perches is good for budgies health or not?
Can i use Eucalyptus perches in budgies cage?
A: Hi!
I answered your question about that. But yes, they are healthy, but make sure you strip off the leaves and clean off the branches very well before giving it to your budgies.
Q: what can I do with my eucalyptus leaves?
I have a whole bunch of eucalyptus leaves. What can I do with them?
A: For bronchitis, put leaves in a pot and boil, then reduce to simmer. With a towel over your head, put your head over the pot (not too close and breath in for about 15 minutes. Do this three or four times a day. The humid, hot air apparently breaks up mucus in the lungs.
Try this: take a few sprigs and tie them together, hang over your shower head, the steam will make the leaves smell wonderful, also good for decongesting your nose if you have a cold!
For an antiseptic bath, place Eucalyptus leaves in a mesh bag and hang under the bath faucet as you run a hot bath.
Q: Is it common to be allergic to eucalyptus?
About three years ago, I discovered (unpleasantly) that I was allergic to eucalyptus. The smell of it makes me vomit and the oil makes me break out in hives. I was just wondering if this was a common thing or is it rare to be allergic to it. Thanks in advance.
A: There are several reports of allergic skin reactions occurring in people using eucalyptus oil products on their skin. Laboratory tests have shown that people with asthma or other allergies may be more likely to have a reaction to eucalyptus. An herbal survey found that 12 percent of asthmatic patients use eucalyptus. Ironically, eucalyptus may cause allergic reactions and may exacerbate asthma. It has been reported that rhinoconjunctivitis and vocal cord dysfunction worsen within minutes of an exposure to eucalyptus.
Q: is there any correlation between the density of eucalyptus and drought in an area?
most of the australian regions are prone to drought. but ironically enough, eucalyptus which is notorious for its water consumption, is found everywhere in australia. has there been any study in this field?
A: Not that I'm aware of here in Australia, but you could try looking it up on Wikipedia
