Q: What over the counter diet pills do you take?
I know I am going to get tons of different answers here, but I am looking to start taking diet pills (over the counter). I don't know if I should just take something that lowers my appetite or an actual 'diet pill'. I work out 4 days a week for an hour each day. I need something to speed up the weight loss.
Any suggestions with reasons behind it, and personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
A: Though I do not take any diet pills (and fully believe that you can loose weight with out it, this is coming from someone who lost 110 lbs with out pills or surgery), the ONLY FDA approved diet pill is ALLI.
ALLI works by preventing the absorption of fat. You can find more here:

Q: What diet pills worked the best for you to loose weight?
I just got the Nuedrophine and the Hoodia pills,
I'm just wondering what diet pills worked for other people :)
A: TriSlim http://www.mb01.com/lnk.asp?o=1853&c=918273&a=36618
Q: How old do you have to be to purchase diet pills in the US?
I've heard thigns about casiers refusing to sell young girls diet pills. This made me wonder if there is an age restriction to purchase diet pills. How old do you have to be to buy diet pills?
A: Diet pills do not work...
Q: How old do you have to be to buy diet pills?
How old do you have to be to buy diet pills? Now please dont go on saying diet pills are bad.Anyways and what pills would you suggest?
how about for a 13 year old?If not then how could i exercise when its freezing out and I have no tredmill nor weights.I have worked out in September and all I did was gain weight.
A: Diet pills are not the way to go to lose weight. You are putting an unnatural substance into your body and you will get so many other side effects, that the benefit is not worth the risk. You need to keep your health, not destroy it with diet pills. There are other supplements that do the same thing, but are not dangerous. One I'm using is called Abs + by Genuine Health. And it uses green tea extract and CLA, which is a natural fatty acid, that revs up the body's metabolism to help you lose your weight faster. But no pill will make you lose the weight totally. There is no other way than to eat regular meals, no second helpings, with good snacks in between. People who skip meals start up the body's starvation response and you end up storing more fat than you lose. So you have to eat at least every 5 hours, and then stop all night eating by 8 p.m. You can drink fluids up till bed time but no more eating after that time. You see, losing weight is a lifetime process. You can't take diet pills only, you have to change your entire system of how you eat, what you eat and you have to move more. You can't do it without some form of exercise. All it takes is simple walking 30 minutes a day. If the weather is bad, put on the music and move for 30 minutes each day. Combined with not over-eating, a little exercise daily, and safe supplements, such as the one I mentioned, you'll get your goal. But anything that'll do it for you fast, will backfire. And you will be twice as heavy as you were before. You'll be very sorry you did it that way. Get "You On A Diet" by Drs. Oz and Roizen and Bob Greene's "Total Body Makeover" "Diet for Life" books. Now that's the way to do it!
Q: What are the dangers of taking diet pills while breastfeeding?
I dont want to do anything to harm my 3 month old daughter in any way. So I would like to know the side effects it would have on her if I took diet pills if any of you know. Practically EVERY pill bottle has caution directed to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers (even Vitamin C!).
A: What kind of pills? Most are diuretics, meaning that they make you lose water weight. If you are breastfeeding, that is a pretty bad idea. And even if you aren't, it won't help in the long run. Breastfeeding, a healthy diet, and a little exercise, are the best ways to lose weight.
Q: What are the possible negative side effects of diet pills like Hoodia?
I want to use diet pills but I want to make sure that the one i pick will have the least negative side effect. Which diet pills woul you recommend?
A: FORGET DIET PILLS. try this surefire way of avoiding side effects, and it is cheaper too.
Losing weight steadily is the best!
1) Eat more steam food, lean meat, vegies and fruits
2) Cut out the junk food, soda drinks and snacks
3) drink plenty of water / green tea
4) Exercise - look at combining weights and cardio into your program. you can look at alternating upper and lower body exercises without rest, say bicep curls, then lunges , rest and repeat. With cardio, try sprinting 100m, jog 100m and repeat.

5) Have 5-6 healthy meals a day(1 plate portions) to keep your body satisfied
6) if you have cravings drink water or eat fruits

7) have an action plan for long term goals, start off with small goals and increase it gradually over time.
Good luck
Q: How do I lose weight without diet pills with a heart condition?
I have arethmia (not sure if sp. right) which is where my heart sometimes flutters and goes real fast for a few minutes. I have had 5 children and am 5'2 and 225lbs. I would like to lose weight but dont want to use pills or any weird diet fads. I am worried about my heart if I just start jogging or something. Yes I have tried eating less.
A: I have a fast heartbeat also. I suggest first you see a Cardiologist. Let them run stress tests on you first. See how your heart functions under stress. Keep in mind with a fast heartbeat that skips when you start excercising your body will probably be very receptive to the excercise, its no different than walking fast or upstairs, BUT your mental fear will make you think things are going wrong with your heart and you will drive your own heart rate up. Don't use diet fads or drugs. What I think you should do between seeing your DR and Cardiologist is change your eating habits. As Mom's we may cook things for our kids that when you are trying to lose weight work against you. So try to wean the kids off the bad foods at the same time as you. Buy more fruits, yogurts, low fat cookies, no soda, brown bread, no processed meats, cook as many of your meals from scratch as you can. Drink water with lemon until you can drink more water just plain. Don't make brownies right now or cookies or cakes. Take the kids out for Desserts so you arent tempted to eat them at home. If you have to let them eat badly just dont bring it home. Walk slow as you need to until your confidence is up. Just that you walk after dinner will actually start setting your body up for future excercise, talk your way through the excerise and say I am OK!
Good luck
Q: Is it safe to take birth control pills and diet pills at the same time?
I am married and plan on not having children until 8 more years. I am currently taking hydroxycut and will be starting birth control for the first time ever in about 3 weeks. Should I stop taking the diet pills?
A: Here is a compilation of links to your questions. I meen it help.
Q: Coupled with a healthy diet, are there any diet pills that speed up the process?
I understand that you have to eat right and exercise as well - but are there any diet pills that work well enough that they will help you lose more weight than with ONLY diet and exercise?
A: If you are going the diet pill route, go natural.
They can be a benefit to a good diet and exercise program. There are two all natural diet pills that are safe and have no side effects. They are Cha de Bugre and Hoodia Gordonii.
Cha de Bugre, is a new weight loss supplement that is growing in popularity and is similar to Ma Huang (Ephedrine) without any of the bad effects. Cha de Bugre is from Brazil and has been used there safely for centuries. Cha de Bugre provides energy, fat burning and appetite suppression that benefit weight loss. Cha de Bugre also has additional uses that are known in Brazil that include being used as a mild diuretic, a cellulite reducer, aides in reducing herpes simplex outbreaks and a heart tonic. You can find more about it at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/cha_de_bugre.html
Hoodia Gordonii is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a South African cactus that the bushmen have eaten there for thousands of years. You need to make sure you get a strong pure hoodia that is certified to be genuine. Check out Totalink's unbiased Hoodia comparison at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodia_comparison.html in the "Confidence" column it will indicate if the brand is "Certified". These Hoodia brands have the credentials to back up their product. Also in that column it will indicate if the brand is "Returnable". These Hoodia brands allow you to return opened bottles and get your money back. I think this indicates that a company has confidence in their product that it works.
Keep in mind that Hoodia Gordonii alone provides appetite suppression but not fat burning. Cha de Bugre is a fat burner but not as good as hoodia with appetite suppression. There are also brands that mix Cha de Bugre with Hoodia Gordonii and other weight loss herbs like Green Tea that can increase both fat burning and appetite suppression.
I have written a lot of articles on Hoodia. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name “Andrew Aitaken” to find them.
Also some of the best tips on buying Hoodia I have found are in Totalink’s Hoodia Buyers Guide at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/buy_hoodia.html
Remember, you should always consult your physician before taking any diet pill or weight loss supplement.
Q: I want to start taking diet pills, except i cannot swallow pills, is there any liquid weight loss formula out?
When i say i cannot swallow them, i mean it, iv tried the hiding it in food, and putting it in jello and pudding, and TRUST ME my throat will not allow it, i even chew my birth control. (sad and an overshare i knoww) REGARDLESS i would like to know of some type of diet supplement that can help me out, because the humungo horse pills are a HUGE no go.
A: Don't take pills or anything like that
trust me ... it is dangerous
drink alot of water ... go to the gym ... eat lots of fruits
Q: What diet pills are best to lose about 5 lbs?
I would like to lose about 5 lbs to get to my ideal weight before the holidays. I don't overeat, so cutting back on my food intake is not really an option and I don't really have to time to exercise 30 minutes a day. I just want an easy way to melt off these 5 lbs so I'll look great in my holiday outfits (and pictures). Any relatively safe diet pills out there that would help me do this?
A: Make the time to workout 30 minutes a day.
Make it!
If I can do it so can you.
Go for a fast walk. It's free and the diet pills are only going to make your wallet lighter.
Q: I need some suggestions about what type of diet pills I should take?
My body is not bangin right now. I am 19yrs old and I need to tone it up before I can never get it off. So I have decided to take diet pills to help out some what. But I don't know which ones are the best. I am trying to drop 4 dress sizes. But my goal is to fit into a bikini by Christmas because I am going to the dells. I will be working out along with taking the pills so please give me some names of diet pills that make you drop weight quick.
A: There are plenty of different diet pills out there
right now. They range from having bad side
effects...to natural ones with little or no side
effects.
I don't know yet which is the most effective,
but I personally think it is important to first
ensure that it is safe to use.
Google it to learn more. For example, I found
a news article which goes over the common
types of diet pills and may help you to make
the right decision.
The link is provided in my source box.
Good luck!
Q: How can I lose weight rapidly without taking diet pills?
I have been fighting with my weight for the past 2 years. My weight goes up when I'm happy and down when I'm depressed. I just need some advice on how I can lose weight rapidly and keep it off without the diet pills. I've tried every diet pill you could name and nothing works, or it'll work and the minute I stop using them I'm hungry enough to eat whatever I can get my hands on. What should I do?
A: Try the Lil Jack workout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezris
and Merry Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdymxP5KqWo
Q: What diet pills actually work best?
What diet pills actually work? And how fast do you actually notice the difference in weight. I gained 50 lbs from my last pregnancy, my son is 6 months now and I have been trying to take the weight of for 4 months now. I have been running and trying my best to eat healthy but I have only lost 10 lbs. Please let me know on your personal experience.
